Bombay 1992

Bombay 1992 (original title)

singh Pulkit (author)

When the whole city burns with communal rage, what does one do when he has more than just himself to save? Bombay 1992 is a story that depicts the saddened death of humanity, set in the backdrop of vicious communal riots of 1992, in Bombay (Now Mumbai). Riots that killed souls and virtues more than it killed mortal beings. Why is it that every time there is a vengeful outburst amongst religions in India, the death toll of these different communities is reported, but never has the quantum of loss of humanity been ever calculated? This film is neither a question asked to challenge the authorities nor an answer that provides solace. It’s just another story of a common man, dragged in the tug of war of violence and religious virtues. Muslims were not killed, neither were Hindus. Humanity was killed brutally, in Bombay 1992.
